ABOUT
In March 2016, seven students representing six disciplines from James Madison University participated in the Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities (a2ru) the 2016 Emerging Creatives Student Summit, which focused on forging resilient communities. Students worked on interdisiplinary teams at the University of Michigan campus and in Detroit to explore how creative partnerships could transform and revitalize communities, culminating in a final presentation.
The team was lead by Dr. Justin Henriques (Dept. of Engineering) and Carissa Henriques (Graphic Design). The student team included: Andrew Bieber and Chris Morales (Graphic Design, Industrial Design); Grace Carter and Marilyn Lehmuller (Engineering); Ryan Matney (Philosophy, Art); Anna Eiring and Mike Morris (Marketing).
